ALOO KI TIKKI

Preparation Method :

  • Peel, boil and mash the potatoes and place in a large mixing bowl.
  • Mix all the spices, salt, mint, fresh coriander and onions, to the potatoes and mix well.
  • Make it into small balls and flatten each in the palm of your hand.
  • If the mixture is very sticky rub a little oil into your hands.
  • Dip these rounds into the egg and then into the breadcrumbs and set aside.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan and shallow-fry, turning once.
  • Place on kitchen paper to remove excess oil. Garnish with fresh mint leaves, Serve Hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg potatoes 
  • ½ teaspoon ground coriander 
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1½ teaspoon aamchoor powder 
  • 1½ teaspoons salt 
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh mint
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh coriander
  • 1 small onion, peeled and finely chopped 
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 175 grams fresh breadcrumbs 
  • IDHAYAM Sesame Oil for shallow frying 
  • Mint leaves to garnish
