MUTTON CUTLETS

Preparation Method :

  • Boil potatoes till tender. Peel and mash them coarsely.
  • In a bowl, add minced meat along with ginger-garlic paste, spice powders, green chillies, coriander leaves, lime juice, salt and 1 teaspoon of IDHAYAM Sesame oil.
  • Mix them together thoroughly and add mashed potatoes.
  • Knead the mixture, until it is firm and holds its shape well.
  • Divide the cutlet mixture into 6 equal balls and shape them round, with 5 inches thickness.
  • Place these cutlets into the refrigerator for about 15 minutes, to set and firm.
  • Remove them from the refrigerator and bring to room temperature.
  • Spread the breadcrumbs on a plate and lay a cutlet on the bed of breadcrumbs until they are evenly coated on all sides. Repeat this for the remaining cutlets.
  • Heat a pan and add IDHAYAM MANTRA Peanut oil and butter. Then add couple of cutlets and fry them until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  • Remove and place them on kitchen paper to drain excess oil.
  • Arrange the fried cutlets on a platter and serve hot with spicy mint chutney.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 medium-sized potatoes
  • 250 grams Minced Meat
  • 2 teaspoon Ginger-Garlic paste
  • ½ teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red Chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 2 Green Chilies seeded, finely chopped
  • Handful of fresh Coriander leaves, chopped
  • Juice of ½ a lime
  • ¾ teaspoon Salt
  • 200 grams breadcrumbs
  • 2-3 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon IDHAYAM Sesame oil
  • 100 ml IDHAYAM MANTRA Peanut oil
