GRILLED PRAWNS

Preparation Method :

  • Make a slit at the back of each prawn and remove the vein. Open each prawn out into a butterfly shape.
  • Mix the ingredients in a bowl except chili, tomato, onion and lemon wedges. Stir in the prawns and marinate for about 45 minutes .
  • Preheat the grill to the maximum setting. Place the green chili, tomato slices and onion rings in a flameproof dish, Add the prawn mixture.
  • Grill for 7 -10 minutes, basting several times with a brush dipped in oil. garnished with the lemon wedges ,Serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS

  • 20  large cooked prawns (Peel ,rinse them gently under cold water. Pat dry)
  • 75 ml lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • 2 teaspoons soft light brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoon IDHAYAM sesame oil, plus extra for basting
  • 2 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
  • 1 fresh green chili, sliced
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • 1 small onion, cut into sprigs lemon wedges
