GARLIC PRAWNS

Preparation Method :

  • Mix egg, flour, corn flour, salt, pepper and baking powder in a bowl. Marinate the prawns in it for at least ½ hour.
  • Heat oil and fry the prawns on medium heat one by one. Remove from fire.
  • Heat 3 tablespoon oil in a nonstick pan. Add the garlic, cook till light brown.
  • Reduce flame. Add red chilli paste, tomato puree, soya sauce, ketchup, sugar, salt and aji no moto. Stir for a few seconds. Add 1 cup water. Boil.
  • Add the dissolved cornflour. Stir till the sauce thickens.
  • Add the prawns and cook till the sauce coats the prawns.

INGREDIENTS

Marinade

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoon All - purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour 
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • A pinch of baking powder

Sauce

  • 15 flakes garlic - crushed and chopped 
  • 6 dried, red chillies - soaked in water for 10 min, drained and ground to paste 
  • 3 tablespoon tomato puree 
  • 1 tablespoon soya sauce
  • 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup or chilli garlic sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon sugar
  • A pinch of aji no moto
  • Salt to taste 
  • 1 teaspoon corn flour dissolved in 1 cup water
