BALTI PRAWNS

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the oil in a Balti pan, wok or large frying pan over a medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the chilli, ginger and spice mix and cook for a further 5 minutes.
  • Add the prawns and green pepper and stir fry for about 5 minutes, adding a little water to stop the mixture sticking if necessary.
  • Stir in the garam masala and coriander and cook for a further 5 minutes, adding a little more water if necessary, but the mixture should be quite dry. Serve. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kilograms prawns, weighed after defrosting and draining if frozen
  • 50 ml sesame oil
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 2.5 cm fresh root ginger, grated
  • 3 teaspoon Balti spice mix
  • 2 green pepper, deseeded and cut into small dice
  • 3 teaspoon Balti garam masala
  • 2 tablespoon fresh coriander, chopped
