MUGLAI DAL

Preparation Method :

  • Add soaked dal with turmeric , salt and measured water .
  • Cook for 10 -15 minutes or until the dal becomes tender and each grain is separate.
  • Now remove the excess water. Keep aside.
  • Meanwhile fry paneer and Fry finely chopped onion in ghee till it turns light brown. Add finely chopped ginger, and fry till onion turns golden brown.
  • Add cumin seeds and fry until it splutter and add finely chopped green chillies and coriander leaves to the dal.
  • Transfer it to the serving dish , garnish with chopped tomato .

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams split black beans , soaked for more than 30 minutes 
  • 750 ml water 
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder 
  • 120 grams cottage cheese - cut into cubes & fried
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper 
  • 2 green chillies - finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 teaspoon chopped ginger 
  • 1 small onion - finely chopped 
  • 1 medium firm tomato - finely chopped without pulp
  • 50 grams Cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
