MOONG DAL WITH WADI

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Fry the wadi in oil on low flame turning sides, till it turns golden brown.
  • Cool and break it into 3-4 pieces.
  • Add measured water, salt, turmeric, ginger, tomato, fried wadi and the oil to the dal.
  • Cook for 15- 20 minutes , Remove from fire immediately.
  • Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Reduce flame.
  • Fry cumin seeds till it turns golden brown. Do not burn them.
  • Add in coriander powder, amchur and garam masala. Cook for 20 seconds.
  • Remove from fire and add red chilli powder and coriander leaves. Mix well for 2 seconds.
  • Pour over the hot cooked dal. Mix gently.

INGREDIENTS

  • 150 grams split green beans 
  • 1 wadi
  • 1 tomato - cut into big pieces 
  • 1" piece ginger - grated 
  • 30 ml Cooking oil
  • 3 grams/½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste 
  • Jeera Dhania Baghar 

Ingredients for Jeera Dhania Baghar 

  • 50 ml Cooking oil
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds 
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala 
  • ½ teaspoon coriander powder
  • Pinch of amchur powder
  • ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
