MASOOR DAL WITH VEGETABLES

Preparation Method :
- Heat oil in a large pan , add onions and fry till light brown.
- Add vegetables and cloves . Cook for at least 2 minutes.
- Add in the dal, salt, turmeric and measured water and cook for 10 -15 minutes or until the dal and vegetables is cooked. Remove from fire immediately.
- Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Reduce flame.
- Fry cumin seeds till it turns golden brown. Do not burn them.
- Add in coriander powder, amchur and garam masala. Cook for 20 seconds.
- Remove from fire and add red chilli powder and coriander leaves. Mix well for 2 seconds.
- Pour over the hot cooked dal. Mix gently.

- 150 grams masoor dal , soaked
- 1 onion cut into rings
- 1 carrot, thin finger- batons
- ¼ of a small cauliflower, cut into small florets
- 3 cloves
- 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
- ½ teaspoon turmeric
- 750 ml water
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste

- 50 ml Cooking oil
- ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
- ½ teaspoon garam masala
- ½ teaspoon coriander powder
- Pinch of amchur powder
- ½ teaspoon red chilli powder
- 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
