ROSEWATER DOUGHNUTS WITH SWEET YOGURT

Preparation Method :
- Combine sifted flour and almonds in large bowl; rub in ghee. Stir in combined yogurt, water and rosewater; mix to a soft dough.
- Turn dough onto floured surface; knead until smooth. Divide dough into 30-32 portions; roll portions into balls. Flatten with fingers.
- Melt extra ghee for deep-frying in medium saucepan; deep-fry doughnuts in batches until golden brown. Remove from pan; drain on absorbent paper.
- Toss hot doughnuts in caster sugar; serve with sweet yogurt.
- Sweet Yogurt Combine yogurt, rosewater and sifted icing sugar in small bowl; mix well.
INGREDIENTS
- 300 grams self-raising flour
- 100 grams plain yogurt
- 50 ml warm water
- 1 teaspoon rosewater
- 45 grams packaged ground almonds
- 75 grams ghee, melted
- Ghee for deep-frying
- 75 grams castor sugar
Sweet Yogurt
- 200 grams plain yogurt
- ½ teaspoon rosewater
- 1 tablespoon icing sugar
