Preparation Method :
- Boil the milk until it has reduced in volume by roughly a quarter.
- Heat the oil in a kadai, then add the vermicelli, stirring gently. Stir in the reduced milk.
- Add the saffron, sunflower seeds, cardamom and nutmeg, and cook for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the sugar substitute and nuts, taste for sweetness and serve immediately.
INGREDIENTS
- 3 litres skimmed milk
- 2 tablespoon sesame oil
- 200 grams roasted whole-wheat vermicelli
- A few saffron strands
- 4 tablespoons sunflower seeds
- 1 teaspoon ground green cardamom
- Pinch of grated nutmeg
- 10 teaspoons sugar
- 5 almonds, blanched and slivered
- 5 pistachio nuts, blanched and slivered
