Preparation Method :
- Crush the vermicelli into small pieces and place it in a pan.
- Pour in the water, bring to the boil, add saffron and boil for about 3-5 minutes.
- Stir in the sugar and continue cooking until the water has evaporated. Strain through a sieve, if necessary, to remove any excess liquid.
- Place the vermicelli in a serving dish and decorate with the coconut, almonds, pistachio nuts and sugar. Serve with fromage frais or yogurt.
INGREDIENTS
- 120 grams vermicelli
- 1 liter water
- ½ teaspoon saffron threads
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 50 grams low fat fromage frais, yogurt, to serve
To decorate
- 1 tablespoon shredded fresh or desiccated (dry unsweetened shredded) coconut
- 1 tablespoon flaked (sliced) almonds
- 1 tablespoon chopped pistachio nuts
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
