Preparation Method :
- In a wide bowl , Add flour, cooking soda and a pinch of salt. Add melted butter and make a crumbly mixture.
- Add enough water to make a soft dough. Knead the dough well for five minutes. Keep covered for 30 minutes.
- For Stuffing: Add the khova in a bowl. Mix well to break the lumps and set aside.
- Dry roast the nuts in high flame for 2 minutes. Powder the roasted nuts along with sugar.
- Mix this powder to khova and to make a thick stuffing. Set aside.
- Make small balls out of the dough. Roll the dough into a small poori. Make it thick in the center and thin in the corners.
- Keep 2 teaspoon of stuffing in the center and fold it like a sun.
- Seal the edges. Once it is sealed completely , do the spirals.
- Heat oil in a kadai for deep frying. Deep fry them in batches till they turn golden brown on both sides. Drain on kitchen towel.
- Prepare sugar syrup of one string consistency. Dip suryakala into the sugar syrup for 10 minutes.

- 300 grams All purpose flour
- 2 tablespoon Melted ghee
- Salt to taste
- A pinch Cooking soda
- IDHAYAM MANTRA Peanut Oil for frying
For stuffing
- 200 grams Sugarless Khova
- 100 grams Powdered sugar
- 10 nos Cashews
- 10 nos Pista
- 10 nos Badam
- 1/4 teaspoon Cardamom powder
