Preparation Method :
- To Make The Filling: Rinse and soak the dhal for about an hour. Cook.
- Mash the dal and cook with jaggery, salt, coconut and cardamom powder till dry.
- To Make The Dough: Add water gradually to the flour with the ghee and knead well.
- Cover and keep it aside for about 20 - 30 minutes. Knead once again and make small balls and roll out into disc.
- Place some filling on one side of the rolled out discs and shape it in the form of half moon nevris.
- Fry in hot oil / ghee till golden brown.
INGREDIENTS
- 150 grams combination of wheat flour and refined flour
- 50 ml water
- 1 teaspoon ghee
For the Filling:
- 150 grams Channa dal
- 150 grams grated jaggery
- A pinch of salt
- ½ teaspoon cardamom powder
