Preparation Method :
- Dissolve sugar in boiling water and strain to remain scum
- Grease a plate evenly with ghee. Set aside.
- Heat ghee and stir the chana dal flour in it. Keep aside.
- Stir sugar over the fire again until it becomes a one-string consistency.
- Meanwhile heat the remaining ghee and keep aside.
- Add the chana dal ghee mixture to the sugar syrup. Stir well over fire to make sure no lumps are found.
- Gradually add the remaining heated ghee to the dal-syrup mixture.
- Continue stirring until the mixture becomes frothy and the ghee begins to separate from the rest.
- Pour it immediately into the greased plate and gently shake it to form evenness on top.
- When still hot, cut into diamond or square shapes.
INGREDIENTS
- 300 gram of Chana dal flour
- 600 grams of Sugar
- 600 grams of Ghee
- Water sufficient to cover sugar
