Preparation Method :
- Simmer for an hour, stirring frequently, as well as scraping thickened milk from the bottom and sides of the pan to reduce the liquid.
- Add the sugar, almonds and crushed cardamoms. Stir regularly for a further 20-30 minutes or until the rice softens and the milk thickens.
- Pour into individual dishes and garnish with flaked almonds and drizzle with saffron milk. Serve hot or cold.
INGREDIENTS
- 100 grams risotto rice, washed, soaked, drained and crushed
- 1 litres whole milk
- 50 grams granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoon flaked almonds
- 12 pieces of flaked almonds
- Few saffron threads, soaked in 3 tablespoons warm milk
- 6 cardamom pods, finely crushed
