Preparation Method :
- Soak walnuts in 200 ml milk for 30-40 minutes.
- Grind soaked walnuts and milk to a fine paste in a blender. Strain the paste and blend again if required.
- Heat ghee in a pan and add walnut paste and cook for a minute.
- Add remaining milk and sugar to the walnut paste and cook by continuous stirring over low heat.
- When it reaches a consistency of condensed milk, add cardamom powder and saffron. Cook the mixture till it reaches the consistency of halwa.
- Remove from heat. Garnish with pistachios slivers and serve hot or cold.

- 400 grams Walnut kernels
- 500 ml Milk
- 3 tablespoons Ghee
- 250 grams Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Cardamom powder
- A few saffron strands, crushed
- 10 Pistachios cut into slivers
