Preparation Method :
- Place the ground rice in a pan with the cardamoms and 3 cups of the milk and bring to the boil over a medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Add the remaining milk and stir over a medium heat until the rice mixture thickens to the consistency of a creamy soup.
- Stir in the sugar and rose water and continue to cook for a further 2 minutes. Serve garnished with the pistachio nuts.
INGREDIENTS
- 50 grams coarsely ground rice
- 4 green cardamom pods, crushed
- 950 ml semi- skimmed (low-fat) milk
- 100 grams granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon rose water
- 1 tablespoon crushed pistachio nuts, to garnish
