FLACKED RICE PUDDING

Preparation Method :

  • Wash the pawa and set aside. Bring the milk to the boil over a medium heat with the cardamom seeds.
  • Add the sugar and pawa and stir for about 10 minutes until the mixture is thick.
  • Now add the rosewater, remove from the heat and transfer to a serving dish.
  • Decorate with the pistachio nuts, almonds and nutmeg, if using. Chill for about 1-2 hours before serving.

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 grams flaked rice ( pawa) 
  • 1 litre full-fat milk 
  • 4 green cardamoms, with husks removed and the seeds crushed 
  • 10 tablespoons sugar 
  • 1 tablespoon rosewater

Decoration

  • 50 grams unsalted pistachio nuts 
  • 50 grams flaked almonds
  • Pinch nutmeg
