Preparation Method :
- Boil the milk in a heavy-bottomed pan till it is reduced to half.
- Heat the ghee and fry the cashew nuts and raisins. Drain and set aside.
- Reheat the pan and fry the vermicelli till it turns reddish. Add to the milk. Cook till the vermicelli is tender. Add the sugar, cardamoms and saffron.
- Garnish with the fried cashew nuts and raisins. Serve hot or chilled.
INGREDIENTS
- 150 grams vermicelli
- 150 grams sugar
- 2 litres milk
- 45 grams ghee
- 2 tablespoon cashew nuts, halved
- 1 tablespoon seedless raisins
- 4 green cardamoms, crushed
- ½ teaspoon saffron strands
