Preparation Method :
- Heat milk in a heavy-bottomed pan and bring to a boil.
- Combine the ground rice with sufficient water and cook by constantly stirring.
- Then add saffron and milk and mix well. Cook by continuous stirring until the milk thickens.
- Add sugar and cardamom powder and cook until sugar dissolves.
- Remove from heat. Add rose water and stir well.
- Pour phirni into individual serving bowls and garnish with almond slivers.
- Serve hot or chill in a refrigerator for an hour before serving.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 liter whole milk
- 5 tablespoons rice, washed and ground coarsely
- 200 grams sugar
- 2 tablespoons rose water
- A pinch of Saffron
- ¼ teaspoon green cardamom powder
- 10 almonds, blanched and slivered
