- Place all the syrup ingredients saucepan, stir over until the jaggery completely dissolves and thickened to syrup.
- Pour the prepared jaggery syrup straight over the prepared fruit.
- Garnish with the nuts and serve.
INGREDIENTS
- 500 grams prepared fruits (apple, pear, plum, peach, apricot, etc)
- Flaked almonds, toasted, to serve
Syrup
- 350 ml water
- 100 grams jaggery
- 4 green cardamom pods, lightly pounded to open
- 1-2 brown cardamom pods, lightly pounded to open
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 2-3 black peppercorns
- ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
- Few drops of rose essence
