Preparation Method :
- Add the sugar and flour to the cottage cheese. Add the saffron water, keeping the strands for topping. Mix gently.
- Cook this mixture on a very low heat in a heavy kadhai stirring continuously for 6 minutes.
- Keep spreading the cottage cheese on the sides of the kadhai, as the centre bottom of the kadhai gets the maximum heat. It is cooked on very low heat and with continuous stirring.
- Remove from heat. Turn the sandesh mixture on a plate to cool. Grind to a smooth paste.
- Shape into flat discs of ½ " thickness. Press a finger on kesar strand and put on each sandesh.
- Decorate the sandesh with pistachios and clove.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 grams cottage cheese
- 3 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon flour
- ¼ teaspoon saffron, dissolved in 2 tablespoon hot water
- Few sliced green pistachios
- A few cloves
