STEAMED FLATTENED RICE IN KHEER

Preparation Method :
- Melt jaggery in hot water and strain to remove scum.
- Add grated coconut to the jaggery; stir well before adding the jackfruit pieces and cardamom powder.
- When it leaves the sides, empty in a vessel and keep aside.
- In a banana leaf spread the rice batter thickly; add the filling to half of it and fold the leaf. Steam-cook it for ten minutes.
- Use fresh banana leaves and steam the rest of it.
- Open the banana leaves and remove the steamed adais. Cut them into 2 inch long pieces.
INGREDIENTS
- 600 grams of Parboiled Rice
- Soak for 30 minutes and grind like idly batter
- 600 ml of Milk
For Filling:
- 600 grams of Coconut
- 400 grams of Jaggery
- 2 tablespoon Cardamom
- 400 grams of Jackfruit
- Plantain leaves a few
