RICH AND CREAMY RICE PUDDING (KHEER)

- Wash the rice, drain excess water. Bring the rice and milk to the boil. Cook, stirring constantly, till the rice is tender and the milk is thick.
- Add sugar and cook for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add saffron, almonds, pistachios, and green cardamom powder.
- Serve hot or chilled.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 litre Milk
- 250 grams Rice
- 250 grams Sugar
- ½ teaspoon Saffron, diluted in water
- 1 ¼ teaspoon Almonds, slivered
- 1 ¼ teaspoon Pistachios, slivered
- ¼ teaspoon Green cardamom, powdered
