Preparation Method :
- Heat a heavy bottomed pan, add ghee and let it melt.
- Add gram flour and stir for about 10 minutes on low heat, stirring continuously till it becomes fragrant and gives out a roasted smell.
- The mixture till this stage still feels heavy while stirring as the ghee has not separated from the gram flour and is golden yellow in colour.
- Keep stirring for another 2-3 minutes, till the gram flour turns soft to stir and it turns golden brown. Do not make it too brown. Remove from heat. Transfer to a plate and keep aside.
- To make the sugar syrup, boil sugar, cardamom with ½ cup water till it melts. Cook for 1-2 minutes to get a syrup of a sticky consistency. Remove from heat.
- Add roasted gram flour to the sugar syrup and stir to mix well. Transfer to a greased tin. Leave to set for 1-2 hours at room temperature in a cool place but not in the refrigerator.
- Cut into 1" pieces and store in an air tight box after it turns absolutely cold.

- Seeds of 3-4 green cardamoms - powdered
- 150 grams sugar
