Preparation Method :
- Bring the milk to a boil in a heavy bottomed pan.
- Add the curd and stir continuously on a low flame till the milk reduces to half.
- Add the sugar, nutmeg, mace, cardamom and chopped dry fruits and continue cooking on a very low flame till the milk thickens.
- Add water and keep stirring over a low flame till all the moisture has evaporated and the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
- Add the kewra essence and mix well. Remove from the flame and pour into a square tin.
- Allow it to cool and cut in to squares.
INGREDIENTS
- 1 liter milk
- 50 grams sugar
- 2 teaspoon curd
- 50 grams nutmeg powder
- 50 grams mace powder
- 50 grams cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoon chopped pistachios
- 2 tablespoon chopped almonds
- 2 tablespoon chopped figs
- 2 tablespoon chopped walnuts
- 4 drops of kewda essence
