DRIED PRAWN CHUTNEY

Preparation Time :
5 minutes

Cooking Time :
10 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Clean the prawns, pinch of the head, tip of the tail and legs.
  • Dry roast in a frying pan till crisp.
  • Mix the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and crumble the prawns into the mixture. Stir to mix.
  • Alternatively, saute the onion and garlic in a little oil for a few minutes, then grind with the rest of the ingredients to a coarse paste.
  • Serve as an accompaniment to rice and curry.

INGREDIENTS

  • 50 grams Dried prawns
  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder
  • A pinch of Turmeric powder
  • 1 medium sized Onion, minced
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoon Tamarind pulp
  • 5 tablespoons grated Coconut
  • Salt to taste
