Preparation Method :
- Boil 4 cups of water in a pan. Add the spring onions and lime zest and simmer for about 2 minutes.
- Mix in lime juice, coconut milk, spice powder and adjust seasoning with salt. Stir well and simmer over low-medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the coriander leaves, ginger and garlic. Simmer to low flame for about 2 minutes.
- When the mixture comes to a boil, add the prawns and green chili. Cook till prawns turn pink.
- Garnish with spring onions and coriander leaves, serve hot.
INGREDIENTS
- 225 Grams fresh prawns, peeled, deveined, washed and drained
- 220 ml thick coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 green chilies, minced
- ½ teaspoon black pepper and cumin powder
- 2 tablespoons chopped spring onions
- 2 tablespoon lime juice
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- Grated zest of ½ a lime
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- IDHAYAM sesame oil for frying
