IRAL SOUP

Preparation Method :

  • Boil 4 cups of water in a pan. Add the spring onions and lime zest and simmer for about 2 minutes.
  • Mix in lime juice, coconut milk, spice powder and adjust seasoning with salt. Stir well and simmer over low-medium heat for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the coriander leaves, ginger and garlic. Simmer to low flame for about 2 minutes.
  • When the mixture comes to a boil, add the prawns and green chili. Cook till prawns turn pink.
  • Garnish with spring onions and coriander leaves, serve hot.

INGREDIENTS

  • 225 Grams fresh prawns, peeled, deveined, washed and drained
  • 220 ml thick coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 green chilies, minced
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper and cumin powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped spring onions
  • 2 tablespoon lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
  • Grated zest of ½ a lime
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • IDHAYAM sesame oil for frying

For Garnish

  • 2 tablespoons chopped spring onions
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
