Preparation Method :
- The Tempering: Put the oil in a skillet over medium heat. When the oil is hot add the tempering ingredients. Then add in the onions and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
- Stir in the mushrooms and sauté for a few minutes over medium-high heat, till mushrooms are brown and aromatic.
- Add the cooked rice and blend gently.
- Sprinkle in black pepper and cumin powder and adjust seasoning with salt. Toss gently to blend.
INGREDIENTS
- 350 grams sliced mushrooms
- 150 grams basmati rice, rinsed, soaked, drained and cooked
- 60 grams finely sliced onions
- 1 teaspoon black pepper and cumin powder
- Salt, to taste
Tempering
- 50 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
