Preparation Method :
- Place the butter or ghee in a small pan over medium heat and fry the cashew nuts, till golden brown. Set aside.
- Heat the milk over medium heat to boiling point in a pan.
- Add the dhal and mix well. Cook over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Add the remaining ingredients with the fried cashew nuts and cook for a few minutes over low-medium heat, stirring frequently. Serve hot or cold.
INGREDIENTS
- 400 ml milk
- 50 grams moong dhal, rinsed, soaked, drained, cooked and mashed
- 1 tablespoon butter or ghee
- 30 grams cashew nuts
- ½ teaspoon powdered green cardamom
- 100 grams packed dark brown sugar
- Few saffron strands
