Preparation Method :
- Heat a cup of milk in a heavy- bottomed pan. Bring to a boil and simmer to low flame. Add the carrots and sugar. Cook stirring frequently for about 3-5 minutes.
- Add the almond paste, stirring frequently till the milk reduces to a thick consistency.
- Mix in the cardamom, saffron and fried cashew nuts. Stir till the mixture thickens.
- Transfer to a bowl and cool before serving.
INGREDIENTS
- 350 ml milk
- 250 grams grated carrots
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 12 raw cashew nut halves, fried to golden
- 20 almonds, soaked, peeled and ground with half of the milk
- 100 grams sugar
- ½ teaspoon powdered green cardamom
- Few saffron strands
