- Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl with water to smooth and thick batter.
- Coat the vegetable slices by dipping in the batter.
- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan or wok. Fry them in batches over medium heat, till they are golden brown on both sides.
- Drain bajji on paper towels and serve with any chutney.
INGREDIENTS
- 150 grams gram flour
- 30 grams rice flour
- Salt, to taste
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 150 grams potato, peeled and finely sliced
- ¼ teaspoon asafetida powder
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- Cooking Oil for deep-frying
