GREEK SALAD

Serves :

Preparation Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Put the olive oil in a jar, along with the lemon juice, oregano, black pepper and salt.
  • Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces; cut the capsicum into fine juliennes.
  • Slice the onion and cucumber into rounds, and mix everything together in a bowl, along with the olives and tomatoes.
  • Shake the dressing well in its jar, add it to the bowl and toss the salad.
  • Roughly crumble the feta cheese, and sprinkle it over the salad.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 small head of iceberg lettuce
  • ½ green capsicum
  • ½ medium onion
  • ½ small cucumber
  • 50 grams black olives (kala zaitun)
  • 50 grams cherry tomatoes
  • 50 grams feta cheese (commercially available)

For the dressing

  • 1 ½ tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano  
  • Black pepper to taste, freshly ground
  • Salt to taste
