FRENCH TOAST PROVENCE

Preparation Time :
25 minutes

Cooking Time :
10 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Toast the slices of bread and spread them with butter.
  • Heat the oil and sauté the onions and garlic lightly. Add the diced tomato and fry for 3-5 minutes.
  • Spice the sauce with the herbs, salt and pepper and simmer for a minute.
  • Pour the sauce over the buttered bread.
  • Put a slice of cheese with a slice of egg on each slice of bread. and lay the sausage on top of the slices of egg.
  • Cut the rest of the cheese into slices and put them in crosses over the sausages. Grill the whole dish for 5-7 minutes in the grill and serve garnished with herbs.

INGREDIENTS

  • 225 grams tomatoes, soaked in boiling water, peeled, deseeded and cut into cubes
  • 2 tablespoon Cooking oil
  • 3 hardboiled eggs, peeled and sliced
  • 4 sausages, Cut into half lengthways
  • 1 onion, Peeled and diced
  • 1 clove of garlic, Peeled and diced
  • 1 tablespoon mixed herbs
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices of rye bread
  • Butter for spreading
  • 6 slices of Emmental cheese
  • Herbs for garnishing
