DATE AND LYCHEE WONTONS

25 minutes

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Remove the skin and the seeds from dates, chop dates finely.
  • Press lychees gently between sheets of absorbent paper, chop lychees finely.
  • Combine dates, lychees, walnuts, lemon rind and juice.
  • Place a teaspoon of mixture in centre of each wrapper, gather sides around filling, pinch edges together.
  • Heat oil in wok, deep fry Wontons until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper, dust with icing sugar before serving.

INGREDIENTS

  • 24 wonton wrappers  
  • 250 grams fresh dates
  • 400 grams lychees
  • 75 grams finely chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Cooking Oil for deep frying
