STEAMED MINCED BEEF BALLS

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
50 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Boil and dice pork fat. Soak tangerine peel in warm water until soft then mash with a mallet.
  • Mix beef with salt, sugar and bicarbonate of soda, mix well and set aside for ½ an hour. Put beef in a mixing bowl and pound well.
  • Dissolve corn flour in water and pour in solution gradually while pounding the beef.
  • Mix well with diced fat, mashed tangerine peel, shallot, sesame paste, pepper and light soy sauce.
  • Add oil a little at a time and pound until well mixed. Divide mince beef into small balls.
  • Wash and dry bean curd sheet, cut into small pieces and deep-fry. Put two pieces into a small dish with two pieces into a small dish with two meat balls on top.
  • Place dishes in steamer. Put steamer above boiling water to steam for 8 - 10 minutes.

  • 5 tablespoons pork fat
  • 2 small piece of dried tangerine peel or
  • 4 teaspoons diced orange rind
  • 300 grams minced beef
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda
  • 4 teaspoons corn flour
  • 200 ml water
  • 2 shallots chopped
  • 2 teaspoons sesame paste
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 teaspoons light soy sauce
  • 2 bean curd sheet
  • 100 ml Cooking Oil
