SPICY PORK BALLS

Preparation Method :
- Place the minced (ground) pork in a large mixing bowl.
- Add the shallots, garlic, cumin seeds, chili powder, breadcrumbs and beaten egg and mix together well.
- Form the mixture into balls between the palms of your hands.
- Heat the oil in a large preheated wok. Add the pork balls and stir-fry, in batches, over a high heat for about 5 minutes or until sealed on all sides.
- Add the tomatoes, soy sauce and water chestnuts and bring to the boil.
- Return the pork balls to the wok, reduce the heat and leave to simmer for 15 minutes.
- Scatter with chopped fresh coriander (cilantro) and serve hot.
- serve immediately.
INGREDIENTS
- 750 grams minced (ground) pork
- 4 shallots, finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlics, crushed
- 2 teaspoons cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 50 grams whole meal breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 4 tablespoons Cooking Oil
- 500 grams can chopped tomatoes, flavoured with chili
- 4 tablespoon soy sauce
- 300 grams can water chestnuts, drained
- 5 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander (cilantro)
