PARTY BEEF BALLS

Preparation Time :
40 minutes

Cooking Time :
50 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Shape mince with wet hands into balls 2 cm in diameter.
  • Combine egg, flour, salt and pepper to form a batter. Pour over beef balls to coat.
  • Heat oil for deep-frying. Add about six balls at a time, fry until golden; drain.
  • Arrange on a serving platter or thread on satay sticks.
  • To make sauce, heat oil in a wok. Add garlic, vegetables and pineapple, stir-fry 3 minutes.
  • Stir in sugar, vinegar, water, soy and tomato sauces. Stir in blended corn flour to thicken.
  • Spoon sauce over balls or serve separately in a bowl.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1½ kg lean beef, minced twice
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 8 tablespoons plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch pepper
  • 500 ml Cooking Oil for deep-frying

Sauce

  • 4 tablespoons Cooking Oil
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons red capsicum cut in 1 cm dice
  • 2 tablespoons green capsicum cut in 1 cm dice
  • 2 tablespoons bamboo shoots cut in 1 cm dice
  • 2 tablespoons pine apple cut in 1 cm dice
  • 500 grams sugar
  • 500 ml white vinegar
  • 500 ml water
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 5 tablespoons corn flour blended with
  • 200 ml water
