GOLDEN FRIED PRAWNS

Preparation Time :
35 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • In a bowl mix soya sauce, sherry, aji-no-moto, salt & pepper & marinate the prawns for 15 - 30 minutes.
  • Make a smooth paste by adding flour, cornflour, baking powder, oil, salt, pepper & aji-no-moto and egg. Add enough water to get a thick batter such that it coats well.
  • Dip the prawns into the batter.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds and deep fry till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with chilli sauce.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams large prawns - cleaned & deveined

Marinade

  • 1 tablespoon soya sauce
  • 1 tablespoon wine 
  • ¼ teaspoon ajionomoto
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

Batter

  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 3 tablespoons cornflour
  • ¾ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon white pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon aji-no-moto
  • 100 ml IDHAYAM sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
