Preparation Method :
- Remove and discard mushroom stems. Combine the pork with soy sauce, sugar and corn flour, stir in crab and bamboo shoots.
- Place the filling into the cavity of mushrooms. Coat mushrooms with flour, dip in batter.
- Deep fry mushrooms, a few at a time, in hot oil for about 5 minutes or until mushrooms are cooked through and golden brown.
- Batter: Sift dry ingredients into bowl, make a well in centre, gradually stir in milk and water, mix to a smooth batter.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 grams small mushrooms
- 50 grams pork mince
- 1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon corn flour
- 200 grams crab, drained
- 220 gramsn bamboo shoots, finely chopped
- Plain flour
- Cooking oil for deep frying
Batter
- 150 grams plain flour
- 150 grams corn flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 100 ml milk
- 100 ml water
