Preparation Method :
- Mix the ingredients of the filling and keep aside.
- To prepare the wontons, mix all the ingredients of the wontons and knead it into a smooth dough using little water if necessary.
- Wrap in a polythene and keep in the fridge for 1/2 hour.
- Roll out the dough as thin as possible.
- Cut about 3 inch square pieces.
- Spread a little egg on the comers of each piece.
- Put a teaspoon of filling in the centre. Bring opposite ends together and bind the two ends with egg. Keep wontons aside.
- Slice the vegetables.
- In a wok, bring chicken stock to a boil, drop in the wontons. Cover and cook over low heat for 8-10 minutes.
- Then add the vegetables. Cook for 5 - 7 minutes. Lastly add aji-no-moto and salt.
- Serve hot with chilli sauce and green chillies in vinegar.
INGREDIENTS
Wontons
- 150 grams flour
- 1 egg
- Salt to taste
Filling
- 75 grams finely chopped cooked chicken/pork
- 4 finely chopped mushrooms
- Salt & pepper to taste
- ¼ teaspoon aji-no-moto
Soup
- 1 litre chicken stock
- 3 pieces of bamboo shoots - cut into slices (optional)
- 1 carrot - cut into slices
- 2 - 3 spinach leaves
- 50 grams cabbage - cut into slices
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon aji-no-moto
