TOMATO AND POTATO FISH SOUP

Preparation Method :
- PMarinate the fish with salt and keep it aside for 15 - 20 minutes
- Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the fish over medium heat until golden brown and then transfer the fried fish in a muslin/soup bag (to prevent the disintegration of fish bones in the soup)
- Boil water in a pot and then add potatoes, tomatoes, garlic, onion, ginger, pork and the muslin bag with fried fish.
- Boil it once and then simmer for an hour.
- Season with salt and pepper as per taste.
- While serving, remove the muslin bag and then serve the soup.
INGREDIENTS
- 350 grams cod fish head or fish tail (cleaned and drained)
- 225 grams lean pork meat (blanched and cut into small pieces)
- 2 potatoes (peeled and cut into pieces)
- 2 tomatoes (cut into pieces)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 2 slices of ginger (minced)
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1.5 litres water
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Muslin / soup bag
