Preparation Method :
- Place the minced (ground) pork, spring onions (scallions), bamboo shoots, soy sauce, dry sherry, sesame oil, caster (superfine) sugar and beaten egg white in a large mixing bowl and mix until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Stir in the corn flour (cornstarch), mixing until thoroughly incorporated with the other ingredients.
- Spread out the wonton wrappers on a work surface (counter).
- Place a spoonful of the pork and vegetable mixture in the centre of each wonton wrapper and lightly brush the edges of the wrappers with water.
- Bring the sides of the wrappers together in the centre of the filling, pinching firmly together.
- Line a steamer with a clean, damp tea towel (dish cloth) and arrange the wontons inside.
- Cover and steam for 5 - 7 minutes, until the dim sum are cooked through.
- Serve immediately.
