PINK SUGAR PUFFS

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
15 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Place water and butter in pan, bring to boil, stir until butter is melted. Add sifted flour all at once, stir until mixture forms a ball and leave sides of pan, remove from heat; cool 5 minutes.
  • Beat mixture in small bowl with electric mixer for about 10 seconds or until smooth, add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Beat until the mixture is smooth and glossy. Heat oil in wok, drop tea- spoonfuls of mixture into hot oil.
  • Cook until Puffs stop rising and brown lightly; drain on absorbent paper. Toss in Pink Sugar, serve immediately.
  • Pink Sugar: Place sugar in plastic bag, add a drop or two of pink food coloring, hold bag closed with one hand and work coloring evenly through sugar with other hand.

INGREDIENTS

  • 200 ml water
  • 2 tablespoon butter 
  • 150 grams plain flour 
  • 5 eggs
  • Cooking oil for deep frying
  • 50 grams castor sugar
  • Few drops pink food coloring
