BROCCOLI AND BLACK BEAN SAUCE

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil.
  • Add the broccoli florets to the pan and cook for 1 minute. Drain the broccoli thoroughly.
  • Meanwhile, heat the sunflower oil in a large preheated wok.
  • Add the onion and garlic slices to the wok and stir-fry until just beginning to brown.
  • Add the drained broccoli florets and the flaked (slivered) almonds to the mixture in the wok and stir-fry for a further 2 - 3 minutes.
  • Add the shredded Chinese leaves (cabbage) to the wok and stir-fry for a further 2 minutes, stirring the leaves briskly around the wok.
  • Stir the black bean sauce into the vegetables in the wok, tossing to coat the vegetables thoroughly in the sauce and cook until the juices are just beginning to bubble.
  • Transfer the vegetables to warm serving bowls.
  • Serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS

  • 750 grams broccoli florets 
  • 4 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlics, thinly sliced
  • 50 grams flaked (slivered) almonds
  • 2 head Chinese leaves (cabbage), shredded
  • 8 tablespoons black bean sauce
