SIZZLING SQUID IN SPECIAL SAUCE

Preparation Time :
30 minutes

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat most of the oil in a pan. Deep-fry squid 1minute. Remove and drain.
  • Reheat oil. Add garlic, ginger, shallots and stir-fry.
  • Add sugar, wine, soy, hoisin and chili sauces. Stir in squid to reheat, and coat with sauce.
  • Place onto hot sizzle plate to serve.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg prepared squid
  • 500 ml Cooking oil for deep frying
  • 2 teaspoons chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger root
  • 4 shallots cut into 3 cm lengths
  • 4 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons white wine
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce 
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili sauce
