SIZZLING MONGOLIAN SCALLOPS

Preparation Method :
- For this recipe you will need one sizzle plate, which consists of an iron plate that fits into a thick wooden mould of similar shape.
- Heat the iron plate on top of your stove for 5 minutes before adding cooked ingredients. In a bowl combine scallops, soy sauce and sherry.
- Heat oil in a wok. Add onion and stir fry 1 minute. Add ginger, scallops and marinade, stir-fry 2 - 3 minutes.
- Blend in sauce ingredients and stir-fry until boiling.
- Serve at once on hot sizzle plate.
INGREDIENTS
- 750 grams scallops
- 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons dry sherry
- 4 tablespoons Cooking oil
- 2 large onions, cut in eighths
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh ginger root
Sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili garlic sauce
- 3 teaspoons hoisin sauce
- 2 teaspoons Sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon five spice powder
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 4 teaspoons peanut butter
- 4 tablespoons fish stock
