PRAWN (SHRIMP) FU YONG

Preparation Time :
10 minutes

Cooking Time :
20 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a preheated wok or frying pan (skillet), swirling it around until the oil is really hot.
  • Add the grated carrot and stir-fry for 1 - 2 minutes.
  • Push the carrot to one side of the wok or frying pan (skillet) and add the beaten eggs.
  • Cook, stirring gently, for 1 - 2 minutes.
  • Stir the prawns (small shrimp), light r soy sauce and five-spice powder into the mixture in the wok.
  • Stir-fry the mixture for 2 - 3 minutes, or until the (small) shrimps change color and the mixture is almost dry.
  • Turn the prawn (small shrimp) fu yong out on to a warm plate and sprinkle the spring onions (scallions), sesame seeds and sesame oil on top.
  • serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 2 carrots, grated
  • 10 eggs, beaten
  • 300 grams raw prawn (small shrimp), peeled
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • Chinese five-spice powder
  • 4 spring onions (scallions), chopped
  • 4 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons Sesame oil
