PRAWNS CHOW MEIN

Preparation Time :

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Drain mushrooms, squeeze dry and discard stalks. Slice caps into strips. Heat oil in a wok.
  • Add celery, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, bean sprouts and water chestnuts. Stir-fry about 2 minutes until vegetables are tender but crisp.
  • Pour in stock and sherry. Increase to high and bring to the boil. Reduce heat and stir in soy sauce and prawns.
  • Cover and cook for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS

  • 15 Chinese mushrooms, soaked in warm water 20 minutes
  • 4 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 4 stalks celerys, sliced
  • 200 grams bamboo shoots, sliced
  • 300 grams bean sprouts, washed
  • 300 grams water chestnuts, drained and sliced
  • 200 ml chicken stock
  • 2 tablespoons dry sherry
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 750 grams school prawns, shelled
