CHICKEN CHOW MEIN

Cooking Time :
30 minutes

Preparation Method :

  • Place the egg noodles in a large bowl or dish and break them up slightly.
  • Pour over enough boiling water to cover the noodles and leave to stand.
  • Heat the sunflower oil in a large preheated wok.
  • Add the shredded chicken, finely chopped garlic, (bell) pepper slices, mushrooms, spring onions (scallions) and bean sprouts to the wok and stir-fry for about 5 minutes.
  • Drain the noodles thoroughly. Add the noodles to the wok, toss well and stir-fry for a further 5 minutes.
  • Drizzle the soy sauce and sesame oil over the chow mein and toss until well combined.
  • Transfer the chicken chow mein to warm serving bowls.
  • Serve immediately.

INGREDIENTS

  • 500 grams packet medium egg noodles
  • 4 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 500 grams cooked chicken breasts, shredded
  • 2 clove garlics, finely chopped
  • 2 red (bell) pepper, deseeded and thinly sliced
  • 200 grams shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 10 spring onions (scallions), sliced
  • 200 grams bean sprouts
  • 5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil
